LA is just one of these cities with Downtown at its heart, and lying outside the city limits is the surrounding conglomeration of cities that comprises LA County. For sports enthusiasts, Los Angeles offers professional basketball, baseball, hockey and football, allowing fans to cheer in a variety of venues.
Los Angeles enjoys a pleasant climate with warm, dry summers and cooler, wet winters. In summer high temperatures are offset along the coastal areas by offshore breezes, but in the canyons and valleys of the interior temperatures can reach torrid levels.
